Hi

Since I got my Tiny Portal up and running at my SMF forum I can not seem to make safety copies of my database via the admin panel!?! The only thing downloaded to my Pc is empty files. :o

This doesn't feel that good, and now I'm afraid to upgrade my SMF to the latest version. What's wrong with my installation  :idiot2:

The downloading of the database is a SMF function and not a TP function. I suggest you ask over at SMF.

If you can't make a backup in SMF, then you should go to your hosting control panel and make one.

That I understand but the problem showed after installing TP that's why I thought TP might be responsible.

Hosting CP?

Control Panel.  For most people it's called cpanel.

I still don't get where this is going. I've been inside my SQL and downloaded the backup. Is that what you call CP? I don't speak computer I just do it ;-)

Sometimes it's difficult for me to express myself in non-computer, as much as I try.  I'm sorry for that.

In your first post, you mentioned that you couldn't make backups from your Admin panel.  The ability to do this is an SMF function and if you are having problems with that, then the place to ask about it is at SMF.

However, you can make a backup of your database outside of your Forum by going to the control panel for your main site, the place where MySQL Databases is located.  However, instead of going to databases in cpanel, look for something called backups under the Files category.  Click it.  This is where you backup your databases in cpanel if you can't do it inside your Forum.
