Should I upgrade?

Hi guys,

I'm still using TP v0.9.8.  Should I be upgrading to something?  I haven't seen v0.9.9 yet or did I just completely miss something?

Hi Muldoon,

Whether to upgrade is something that you must decide.  TP 0.98 was the last stable release prior to the release of the new 1.0x betas.  There are some major differences and some great new features in TP in the 1.0x series.  The latest release is 1.0 Beta 3, and if you choose to upgrade you should go straight to that one.  There are a few small bugs still in beta 3 that are being fixed quickly and a release of beta 4 is not far off.  If you were to go to beta 3 now, it shouldn't be too difficult to go to beta 4 when it comes out because the database changes between the two will be minimal.

Because of the new features, there is a small learning curve when going from 0.98 to 1.0 but it's not overwhelming.  I highly recommend going to beta 3 for someone who has been using TP long enough to have as many posts as you have here.

Once you decide to upgrade, you must first uninstall 0.98 before installing 1.0 Beta 3.  If you need any help with this once you start, please feel free to post in the support board.  I will move this topic from themes to a more appropriate location.
