Now, I'm sure this is an obvious and simple fix, but I just can't seem to get it right. Every time I add a block via the Admin Panel, edit it, then go back to the block panel, I click the red icon to enable it, save the block, and even hit save at the bottom of the page. I go to check if it is there and get nothing. All permissions have been checked, so no problem there.

(And I can edit any current blocks to any other format such as a PHP or HTML block and it switches fine.)

Any ideas?

So are you saying that the block does not stay activated? Does the block show, or not show? Does it show, but not show the content? More details please. Thanks for following the guidelines!

Make sure that you have selected that it be shown somewhere. There's a bit that says

Choose where the block should appear. [Show] [Hide]

which is hidden when you first make the block. Click "Show" and select where you want it to appear.

I was having the same problem with blocks not staying activated until I realized that I hadn't selected them to appear any place. Once I did that, the blocks stayed activated.

Ah, thanks! Didn't even really take notice to that!

(And my original problem was that the new blocks would not show whatsoever.)

Thanks again!
