Ken.

Just a note here; you didn't say and I'm not quite understanding why you need to use all of those iFrames. As IchBinâ„¢ mentioned they can be useful and I do use them (2) myself but they can also be very difficult when trying to achieve the desired result.

So, have you considered placing your HTML directly into your articles and blocks? My site was originally all HTML, but over time more and more of the pages have been converted over to TP articles and while it takes a little work the end result is much better.

Hi Ken, if iframes continue to be a problem, I may end up doing that. I like the convenience of tweaking my article site pages in Golive and just plopping the changes over to my server. I love the ease of using iframes, except for being so damn quarky all the time.

I have managed to resolve the iframe scrolling issue. My site was having ALL kinds of buggy stuff happening in it after the fresh install.  I was getting different results with every refresh and edit. It was crazy and iframe scroll didn't make sense.

However, I wanted to let anyone else know who may have done a fresh install and had familiar issues with stuff going weird to BE SURE TO DO THESE TWO THINGS:

1. USE THE SAME VERSIONS OF SMF AND TP THAT YOU HAD FROM YOUR BACKUP! - Re-install back to the original versions that you were using before. After I did the fresh install I went ahead and upgraded SMF and then use the new TP version for the upgraded SMF. Even though my backed up dbase was on the versions.  I'm guessing that is why I was getting such weird stuff happening.  I did a completely new install again and went back to the original version of both SMF and TP that I had and that was used on dbase backup.  So far everything is working great!  Except one small thing I'm hoping to get help on.

2. RUN SMF'S REPAIR_SETTINGS.PHP SCRIPT - Do go to SMF support and download the REPAIR_SETTINGS.PHP file and install it in your root directory and run that repair. I didn't do that the first time around, figured I didn't need too. Ummm, WRONG! You definitely need to run this repair rand check it out and tweak all of your settings. It will give you the recommended settings. DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP!!!  IT saved me!

That's my advice above from one newbie to another on fresh installs!   8)

Ichbin, I have one weird result happening that I'm not sure if I should ask here in this post or start a new thread with the issue. It's a footer problem, I'll start a new thread to keep it clean.  :-)

dianna,
I am interested in the workflow you use to incorporate the articles from golive into your smf structure. Do you use golive layers, then structure your page with content, then put it on your server, then just link to this from your smf using a iframe block, or do you actually place the code into the smf block as generated from golive?
As you can see i don't know much about this, but I really like the way your site has a wacky disjointed knock your socks-off feel, that throws most boxy forum structures out the window.
I don't think this can be done working within the forum workflow.
Can you give me some insight to how you do these things?
