SMF 1.1.7
TP: 0.98

I have installed a new modification for the smf-forum
On the tp mainpage settings i configured one forum board to show
the topics are shown on the mainpage but the new mod will not be parsed
(forum intern the new mod works fine). The portal shows only the bbc-tag.

what must i do?

thanks for reply

That question you have to ask the modcreator to help you with.

ltdeta

why?
the mod works fine in the forum.
What is the different looking into the forum or portal mainpage.

Is it really a mod problem?

JPDeni

There's no way for us to answer the question. First, you haven't told us what the mod is. Second, in order to know what the problem is, someone here would have to install the mod and we just can't install every mod on our test sites.

It's not necessary a problem with the mod, but there could very well be a conflict between the mod and TP. Mods conflict all the time.

ok, i understand

it woud be helpful if i know where i must begin to search for my problem :)
(for example witch template file is responsibel for showing a forum board on the mainpage)

G6Cad

Boardindex.template.php = forum board display.
index.template.php = all site page load.
Display.template.php = topics and posts display

But you really need to asl your questions on SMF, we cant teach you what to look for when you dont say what you have installed. MOD, ok, but there are 500+ mods to choose from.
You are the only one knowing what you have, what you have installed, and if you have issues with a mod or several, start at SMF as thats the site you probably got them from.

Almost all mods have their own support board there. and they are linked at the very sam page you downloaded the mod from.

be sure to take a look at your error log too, that will help you track down the problem so that you can provide better information when asking for support.
