SMF version: SMF 1.1.8
TP version: 1.0.6 beta 3
Theme name and version: SlickPro Graphite V2
Mods installed: SPOILER Show & Hide / Users Online Today / CBI 1.0a
Related Error messages: None

I upgraded from beta 2 to beta 3 (uninstalled 2, installed 3) with no problems. Except that my menus now appear in a very ugly fashion...

Even if I set the bullet-point style to '-none-' I still get an ugly layout...

In beta 2, everything was fine. My initial thought was that this has something to do with the fact that TP uses either /tp-images/icons/bullet3.gif or /tp-images/icons/TPdivider2.gif and that the CSS is defining  <li> tags to include a bullet point. But having checked the definition of tp_catmenu in tp-style.css this is not the case.

Any ideas what may be causing it? Am I missing something which should be stupidly obvious?

EDIT: I've just notice that this only seems to happen in Opera. It appears fine to me Firefox 3 and IE7. Can anyone else confirm/deny this?

Does it look wrong in the default theme? Tried any other themes? Have you tried looking a the blocks or any extra code/mods that may cause something? I don't have this problem on any of the sites I run TP on.

can you put in the your theme/style.css

/* for the menu block */
ul.tp_catmenu, ul.tp_catmenu li
{
margin: 0;
padding: 0;
list-style: none;
}
ul.tp_catmenu li.tp_catmenu_header
{
padding-top: 6px;
}

AaaaaaRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGHH!  :tickedoff:

I friggin' HATE issues like this! I cleared caches, cookies, and closed the browser... the works... the problem still persisted. I tried for 40 minutes or more to figure it out before I posted here... nothing.

Now I just had to reboot my PC because of a software crash (not browser related), go back to the site and everything looks perfectly fine.

Sorry to bother you. i think my PC just likes to make me look stupid.

I'm going to bed now to cry myself to sleep.  :'( :idiot2:

The problem seems to have resolved itself, but I have included the code anyway... it can't hurt! Many thanks.
