shout box creates error

I have installed the shoutbox module and it seems to work fine, however, every time a user shouts, they are sent to the forum, instead of the page they were on (http://www.mmc.uk.com/index.php?action=forum).

Also, some shouts create an entry in the forum erro log

As for the error, should be fixed in the up coming beta3 release.

Thanks ... seems I need to search wider than I did for this one. So I tried to follow these instructions

Open up tp-files/tp-modules/tp-shoutbox/Sources/TPShout.php and find:

Code Select Expand

redirectexit($_POST['tp-shout-url']);Replace it with:

Code Select Expand

redirectexit($_POST['tp-shout-url'], false, true);

but I only had

/tp-files/tp-modules/TPShout/Sources/

and in the file

Code Select Expand

redirectexit(strip_tags($_POST['tp-shout-url']));

which I changed to

Code Select Expand

redirectexit(strip_tags($_POST['tp-shout-url'], false, true));

but that doesn't seem to work

You should remove/restore the changes you made and instead use the 2nd suggestion from Bloc's post in that other thread. 

Make the changes in the "/Sources/Subs.php" file and this will correct the redirect for not only the frontpage but every other page on your site.

yep, that works, I tried the other one as it seemed to only go wrong on the front page. Thanks for the help
