I am running SMF 1.1.7 and TP .0.9.8

I am having Serious Issues getting my Blogger RSS feed to post to my front page in TP

I have tried everything.

I first tried using the native RSS block feature for the front page but absolutely nothing is showing up. This is the method I would prefer to use as the javascript seems unreliable.

I then went to the javascript conversion method with a script box in TP.

I have tried every single script converter on the web and not one is working properly.

Some don't show up at all, some show up without a date but with the pictures and description from my feed and then dissapear after a few hours all together.

What I am looking for is to simply blog at this location:

http://www.thejuicedfly.blogspot.com/

with this feed:

http://thejuicedfly.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default

and then have the last article written show up on my front page.

You can find my TP page here:

www.troutpredator.info

I have spent 15 hours fiddling around with this and I just can't figure it out, please help!

Cant give you an answer on your question,.
You have tried the options we would give you, so if nothing works, then it have to be the feed from the site you fetch it from that have some sort of limitations or your server and host blocks them out.
TP just render the feed, it doesent do anything else then just show it,

I had a similar problem and found the answer.

edit the PHP.INI file in your servers root directory and replace the following:
allow_url_fopen = off
with
allow_url_fopen = on

Save the file and it should work. I hope this helps...

Don't forget that allow_url_fopen can be a security risk. If the software you are using is not secure, it can allow an attacker to call a remote file exploit in your code if url_fopen is on.
