How to get RSS to open in new window/tab using SMF 1.1.7 & TP 1.0.5 Beta 1?

Hi all,

I hope I am putting this in the proper board.

I finally managed to get the RSS feeds to work on my SMF 1.1.7 & TP 1.0.5 Beta 1.
I had to edit PHP.INI in my servers root folder and change the following:

allow_url_fopen = off
to
allow_url_fopen = on

This allows me to see the RSS feeds.

Now, I would like to open any of the feed links in a new tab. I have searched the forums looking for a way to do so but could not find an answer.

Any thoughts?

Thanks... Spiider...

Please follow the instructions at this link so that one of us may be able to figure out how to help you --- > Please read the Posting Guidelines.  Without this information there is no way to guess what needs to be done to fix your problem.

It would also be especially helpful to know how you are bringing this feed onto your site.  Are you using a TP block, an Article, a regular topic post, or what.  The listing of the code you are using would help as well, so that we can try it on one of our test sites.

TinyPortal does not control the feeds. The site that offers the feed controls the output. You would have to tell the site to make their links work that way, which would mean they would have to change they way they create their RSS feed. OR, you can use a third party RSS feed reader to try and do this. TP simply outputs what is in the feed.
