I get a session verification failed error whenever I attempt to edit a block. I have SMF 1.17 + TP 1.05.
Install was fine, no errors. This just recently happened when I used an BBC/HTML block.
I did a search, and "car" had my same problem:

An Error Has Occurred!
Session verification failed. Please try logging out and back in again, and then try again.

I don't know why :(

But the posts got off-topic and were about fixing the installation issues.

I found a thread on SMF saying to fix the source code to "get".
Also something about the permissions on the packages directory.
I did both, and it didn't help, because my problem is not with the install, but TP itself.

I can only assume taht you're install did not complete properly. You'll need to go through the manual install to see if there is some code missing or not edited properly. Also make sure all the files are up to date for TP. If this doesn't work, I would suggest you start with a fresh install of SMF installing one mod at a time, each time testing your forum to make sure everything works properly.

How do I manually install TinyPortal

Ok. I found out the problem. It has something to do with FCKEditor. I used PHP to echo my code and so far it's worked fine as a workaround.

That will not be a problem in the next release of TP as Block have removed the FCK and WYSIWYG editors from the package.
he have replaced them both with a much better and lighter editor that works really well

I know this is an old topic, but tonight I suffered from the same issue on my board when trying to add a new Mod via the Package Manager.

I thought I'd head back around all the forums I've visited via Google to post the solution direct from SMF!

Apparently, if you have SMF version 1.1.7 installed, there is a bug in their 'Sources' folder under the 'Packages.php' file; and you need to alter one word in the code - 'get' to 'request'.

The instructions are located in the following link -

SMF goes on to say that the problem will be resolved in SMF version 1.1.8 but haven't said when that will be released, so if you do encounter this problem, and like me, can't wait, I suggest following the above link.

Dave.
