Theme Download pages.. don't have download links

Hey

First: I'm not complaining (I love TP, it adds so much value to SMF, which is, by miles, for so many reasons wayy better than any other BB system about.) this is a suggestion/ request...

Download pages don't seem to have download links..

And the likes of say, crip's forum (who's stuff is awesome) usually say things like Zip below.. don't show up unless your logged in...

After a good bit of poking about, you usually do find what your looking for.. but a central place (i think.. mod the theme demo, to desplay author information (and link to applicable forum post..) and download link, and some more in-your-face things saying you need to be logged in to view the attached files... would be cool.

Maby i've missed something here, maby i'm having a slow day (its been known to happen! ) but one central place to download would be good (especially because there arent as many TP dedicated template repo's on the net, as there might be for other CMS systems..).

Again.. I'm putting this forward as a suggestion, if it were easier to get theme's and mods people might use TP instead of some other bloated rubbish CMS's.

Thanks for the feedback - but I am afraid I am bit confused: are you referring to the dem0 pages of this site (http://demo.tinyportal.co.uk), or to the download section? Or is it the Theme Gallery you mean?

I think they mean if themes, TP and such would get more attention if they didn't have to register 1.st to get stuff ??

Themes have always been free to dl..only TP section isn't. But that will soon change.

Ehh... Kinda...

What im saying, is that its not clear you HAVE to login to download.

But yeah.. why should users have to login to download..

I'm suggesting that (like so many other theme demos) that you have a download, or buy button on the demo, people almost always go to the theme demo page before downloading, why not simplify the whole procedure, rather than have them:

- Go back to the forum
- Login (If not already)
- Browse to download > files
- Pick there version
- Browse through a page or two to pick there theme
- Download / Purchase

Could be

- Pick theme
- Download / Purchase

There's a good chance you'll improve the income of your paid template skinners too, there's alot of people that won't pay for templates, and as such, won't actually click on the thumbnale in the gallery to view what might be such an awesome template that they may actually fork out some cash.

Its just a thought guys, but there's not too much work involved and it would probably have a long term benifit....
