Okay so I was uploading a file to my website yesterday and once it was finished I closed my ftp program and refreshed my browser. I got a 404. I reopened ftp and saw that I some how manged to accidentally deleted my public_HTML directory. So I quickly downloaded a fresh install of smf, uploaded to my site then downloaded the smf repair.php file uploaded that as well and ran it. So after 5 mins of trying to remember my mysql database password I was done. However all of my packages were gone and none of them were showing on the package manger. I try'd to reinstall tiny portal by downloading .zip and uploading it via the package manger. I got  "The package you tried to upload either is not a valid package or has become corrupted. " so I checked to make sure if it was a valid file by re-downloading and trying again. Same error. So I went into phpadmin and deleted all tp related mysql tables. Then tried again, same error.

So is there anything I can do to reinstall tiny portal without manually installing it?

Sorry if this ins't already answered. I tried searching for it but I might have typed it wrong.

edit: oops, was in such a hurry to get this fixed didn't read the stickys, I'm so embarrassed sorry.

So it would help if you gave us some information on what software versions you are using.

So, I'm wondering if you don't have the old version? I suppose it could be cached as well if you downloaded it once, and haven't downloaded it for a while. If you can download it with a different browser, or even just try clearing your cache and doing a hard resfresh before downloading, then try the install.

The "package corrupted" error indicates you're installing a version of TP that isn't updated for your SMF version. If that isn't the problem let me know, and I'd be glad to take a look at it for you.

Wow, I'm so retarded. Thanks for your help. You were right I was downloading the wrong one. I was trying to install "TP_0983_manual.zip".  I guess thats what happens when you don't get enough sleep.
