TP 1.05 error 500

I installed brand new smf version 1.1.6. all went well and still using my old sql database, following smf's instructions on upgrading fresh install.

So, brand new form no mods. my 1st install was TP 1.05, installed with no problems via package installer but on completion I got the successful install page but soon as I attempted to move to any other page, it received the error 500 message. Im not now even able to access my forum at all.

Ive checked all file permissions and set to 755 as recommended by my host. No difference.

Can you offer any help on this?

Followed all directions, still receiving same error 500

What about files that get uploaded. Did you check and make sure all the files are there, and that they aren't corrupted? If you still recieve the error, then I would start over and do the manual install completely.
