Installing Backup from smf 1.1.5v

I backed up my other forum.  Now I want to have the same content from one forum on the other forum.  How do can I do this?

The file that I backed up is called complete_2008-09-04.sql.gz  However, when I went to upload this via the upload package function it gave me an error that it doesn't accept file extension of that type.

So how do I duplicate a forum?

How to duplicate a forum would be SMF's department. They have some docs in the docs board explaining how to do this.

Ok. I downloaded my db from msql.  I also exported the msql file from there.  Now how do i import this in my smf 1.1.5v site.  No please note that I exported the forum from a normal smf 1.1.5 site and i'm importing this to a SMF 1.1.5 w/ TP 098v.
