is there a way to show the front page only, but not the forum?

Sorta like the front page is available to view, but once the forum tab gets clicked on. The guest will then be forced to join. I know you can turn off the setting for allowing guest to browse forum, but does anyone understand what I'm saying/asking?

TP uses the SMF permissions. If you set the guests not able to view your forum, TP uses that same setting.
