Since I installed TP, it seems that my CSS on the homepage is messed up. Actually Im trying to customize the articles background from #000000 to another color to blend better with the custom theme.  It automatically worked with .098 but since the update is turned black in the background.

I've been playing with the CSS in the custom theme but it doesn't seem to be any section which I can change to fix the problem with the article background color  Help?

In your style.css find this

body
background:#252525 url(images/main_bodybg.gif) repeat-x scroll left top;
margin:0px;
padding:0px;

You see the background:#252525

That is the black color in your article background.

Try and change that to what you need and see if it change. Dont forget to do a hard refresh after the changes ctrl/F5
