Is there currently a SSI function that grabs articles submitted for TP v0.9.8?
I would like it to display it on a customized homepage I'd like to use.

you might look into the examples_ssi.php file for that ;)

i did. it has nothing about TP articles.

Look in the block code snippets board for recent articles. A search would have found you the post for it.
