Google Website Optimizer

I have been asked by one of our affiliates to use google website optimizer.

I have never used google website optimizer, but what it looks like it will do is let you create and compair two test pages.

What our affiliate wants me to do is create a index page with there appliance parts search box and a second page just like it but with there competitors appliance parts search box.

From what I understand google website optimizer will keep track of the two html pages and see what one gets the most conversions.

Here is my problem. I have both appliance parts search boxs displays in TP blocks.

How can I make one index/home page show one search box and a second index2/home2 page show the same thing but with a different TP appliance parts search box?

Looking for some idea's were to start.

Have an article for each affiliate (their index page), and assign a different search box block to each article?

Thats not a bad idea IchBin.

I would like it to be done with the board index page through as that is the page everyone first see's when they go to our site using http://appliancejunk.com

Could I make a article show the index page?

Not quite sure what you're asking. You can only have one index page.

I would create a separate search box for that affiliate.
If they want special treatment, then they need a separate box.
Just use their name in the search title. " Search parts at (affiliate name)".
And ask a little something in return for them getting their own block on your index.
