Hello,

I installed a News Letter system (phplist) on my web site.  My co-admins are not computer savvy and when they want to add an image into a News Letter they find it difficult to use an FTP client to upload a file on the server and then link to it in their Letter.

I thought of using TP's download manager for that so I created a category called "News Letter" where they can upload the images that they want to use.  The problem is that when we try to link to those images from phplist it doesn't work.  I figure it's because of the .htaccess file but I'm still puzzled, since php and Apache run as "nobody" on the localhost, shouldn't they have access to the folder ?

If I'm mistaking, what should/could I put in the .htaccess file to fix this problem ?

You can just take the .htaccess file out. But this will make it so that anyone can hotlink any of your downloads anywhere.

That's the part I don't like.  I was hoping there was something I could add to .htaccess to make the files visible to php when phplist sends the newsletters.  I renamed .htaccess to test and it seems that I have another problem.  phplist doesn't use the images as inline attachements, instead it links back to the file on the server using html <img> tags.
