As much as I luv the theme I am using (based on Tolkien TP) with SMF v1.1.4 in TinyPortal v1.0.5 beta, I believe the development credits belong on the bottom where most viewers look for such things.

I'd prefer to add the TP credit before the "Tolkien" design by Bloc and modify that to "Theme based upon: Tolkien design by Bloc"

screenshot from bottom of TP Main

The line following the "Powered by" line then would read:
QuoteTinyPortal v1.0.5 beta © Bloc | Theme based on Tolkien design by Bloc | XHTML | CSS

Can you tell me which templates they reside in so I can move them?

index.template.php although I don't think the TP copywrite resides there just the theme info and the SMF copywrite

Need to know where to find the TP Copyright so's I can move it as described...

I guess I'll start looking. Just hoped someone could help speed things along!

In the default index.template.php file, the theme and TP credits are as follows:

<td valign="middle" align="center" style="white-space: nowrap;" class="smalltext">
                                        ', theme_copyright(), ' <br />', tportal_version() , '
                                </td>

I would look in your theme's index.template.php file for theme_copyright() and tportal_version() if you would like to rearrange where those functions appear.

G6Cad

Just remember that they DO need to show on ALL pages of the site

bas123

Indeed...
I've taken care of that G6

by modifying the footerarea of "index.template.php"

Now I wish to remove the circled credit, but need to know which file the code is located in.

Thanx

G6Cad

Removal of that part will cause errors in your log, if i remember correct bloc made that part static with checks on several places.

Well I guess I can live with it, but I really believe it would have been better placed in the footer area along with the theme credits as I have done and have seen on other's sites.

The credit is certainly due and were it not, I never would have found this and SMF.

The problem is, that this means adding the copyright to EVERY index.template.php file. Which is what we are trying to avoid. For now I would say lets deal with it, because I'm hoping in SMF2 final they will include the option to concatenate custom copyrights on to SMF's. We'll see I guess...

I guess I really bothered me when I added the SMF Gallery and saw that SMFHacks Credit Link "SMF Gallery" so prominently above the Return to "Gallery Link" which confused me.

On my template derived from Tolkien, at least, it appears just above the TinyPortal Credit.

So here's three centered text links with two pointing my visitors away from the site all lined up on the bottom of the page with no separation from the content.

And speaking of Galleries, I think I'll start another thread...
