when creating an article intro:

i have a hard time determining how many characters are a safe bet per say, to keep the front page visually appealing/nicely synchronized. is there a way to limit the front page 'intro text' block characters?

Reality12

Or, do you know of a way to make the article blocks line up beside each other?

Can you please give it some time for someone that knows the answer to reply ?
We see it kind of rude to bump a post with in 24 hours, you bumped 2 with in 12.  ;)

If you cant wait for the answer, please use the serach term ( article intro ) and see if you get som answers a lot faster, i know there are a few answers made allready in a few other topics.

1.) use the same amount of text when you make the intro text. They are only used for..intros lol, so if you apply any limiting on it, the rest of that text goes nowhere.

2.) Blocks cannot line up horizontally in TP 0.9, for that you have to wait until TP 1.0.

very cool.

thank you bloc.

see, i was thinking of a limit like digg.com and other sites do, that keep the intro/preview limited. i thought maybe we could apply that to article previews on tiny portal...
