As I work through what I need to do on my TP development ahead of replacing the existing html site I wondered how I could set up a print option for an article and found this topic.

Since I moved my Ramblers website (not the TP version, yet) to my webhost I have been able to get a lot more information. One type of page that is high in visits are the ones that I have re-formatted as print friendly for printing the events program. To have this included in TP would save having to make two versions of the same page (I did post in feedback & suggestions, but I've removed that now I have a script).

I now have a php script and it sort of works. I got it from here www.mikenew.net. The article is a plain html article with three small insertions, one to tell where to start the print, one to end and a link to the phpprint.php file.

Would be good to have it as a TP article option though.

I still haven't satisfactorily solver this but I have a very simple javascript that uses the browser printing functions.

<form>
<input type="button" value="Print This Page" onClick="window.print()" />
</form>

The drawback is it prints the whole page, is there a way of tweaking this so that it prints only the article?
