Language pack , how to

Hello there, im trying to translate my smf+tp . the smf part is already done, but dont know how to translate tiny portal at all. i've tryed to put the files into themes/default/languages and then, dont know what to do next.. where do i select the language to be used at tp?

TP uses SMF language functions. If you've properly loaded your language files as SMF suggests that you do, then it will work.
