Visual options for frontpage

In the front page settings under 'Visual options for frontpage', underneath it, it says ( disabled in Single Page option )

Well, how do I enable that? I've been looking around and can't find where to enable it

Not sure I follow what you're asking. Those options are to turn the sidepanels, center blocks etc. for the frontpage. You select the checkboxes of what you want to show, or what you don't want to show and click the submit button.
