Does Articles get picked up by Google Search Engines?

[mykaraokedj]

One of the things I'd like to do on my forum www.mykaraokedj.com/forum is to post articles and have users of my forum rate them. I've written 3 in hopes that the content in the Artlicle gets picked up by Google and other search engines and drive traffic to my site for Karaoke Lovers in Dallas Texas. However, I'm wondering if the articles are even sniffed by the spiders. Also do shouts count as content and get picked up by google as well?

As far as i know the google bots crawles everything on your site, it looks for diffrent words in any text and i think the Articles are one of everything it searches through.
