Are duplicate sideboxes OK?

I'm just wondering if it's cool to run identical content in both the left and right sideboxes with TP.
The reason I'm asking is that we run half a dozen favourite themes and on some (Tolkien, for instance) the TP sidebox really has to go on the left. OTOH some of our members like using Helios TP
but are restricted to a 1024x768 screen. Our Helios is currently carrying a nice banner designed to fit a 1200 screen, which is what most members have. By running the TP box on the right members on 1024x768 would not need to use scroll bars for reading the forum itself.
We don't need a huge range of features in our side boxes so duplicating them seems to be the best way to keep everyone happy as people can just disappear the one they don't want via the upshrink buttons.

PS.Yes, I know Tolkien doesn't have upshrink buttons but I've asked elsewhere about coding them into this theme, as well as Enterprise. This would be a good finishing touch for our forum.

And where exactly is the question ?

Having duplicate blocks on both sides of the forum in diffrent themes  with diffrent resolutions ?  ???

Sorry.  :) I probably threw in too much information.

The question is would having duplicate content in both sideboxes cause any interference/lack of communication problems between them?

IOW, would both of them work flawlessly and show exactly the same content, or would a shoutbox or whatever in one either interfere with or show different content to the other side?

Basically I want two working outlets for the same function, with the option of hiding one from view without actually disabling it.

Whoops. Looks like my question has been answered here.

Cool. I'll leave it marked solved unless I run into problems.
