In some cases TP does not show correct sections

I am running a fresh install of tinyportal 0.9.8 on a freshly installed SMF 1.1.4 and i noticed a little (and annoying) bug.

In some situations the categories (i don't mean forum categories, but the ones like "home forum help search admin etc." visible in the main navigation bar under the header) are not shown correctly. If i click on "forum", then SMF brings me to the forum, but the navigation bar sais that i'm still in the home page!

As another example, if i choose "help" and then the section "tinyportal" It says that i'm still in the homepage.

Hope there's a simple fix for this, i searched through the forum but i didn't find anything  :)

A well known minor bug yes, it have been noticed several times for diffrent parts of the forum and navigation.
This is however not something that will be corrected just yet, bigger bugs need attention before the smaller ones that offcourse WILL be fixed as we go. TP is in Beta testing so we have to expect minor issues with diffrent parts, and this is one of them.

I think there is some or a coupple of posts made in the forum on what you can do to fix it your self, try and search for some thing like "highlight" or "tab highlight" or similar and see if you can find it/them

Tnx a lot for the fast reply!

Then, i'm sure you're making your best to fix mos important bugs first... I'll try to fix it by myself. If i'll find a solution i'll post here as soon as possible ;)

This is actually not a TP bug, but more of a theme bug. Is this on the default theme? Or is it a custom theme? This can be easily fixed IMO.

Wingman

I noticed it on the default theme of course :)
should i take a look at index.template.php?

IchBin

Can I have a link to your site? A test account would be good as well.

Unluckily TP is installed on my local machine, which is not accessible from the web. That's because i am redesigning my old website from scratch (previously based on IPB and MKportal), so i'm making some tests in local...

If there's some file that i have to attach or images let me know  ;)

Probably this weekend i'll upload the new website, i'll let you know when it's up  :)

Anyway i think this is related to the default theme template, since when i used a different theme (Default Modern) the bug is present no more  :o

Some news. I ended local tests, so i'm uploading (er... reinstalling from scratch ;D ) SMF on my website. Because of it's modded a lot, I chosen to install tinyportal manually and... here's the magic! The forum category link is shown correctly  :o

Anyway the help category button is still buggy...

Maybe there are some differencies from the package and manual files?
