Can not Submit articles unless allowed to Manage

Hello everyone,

I have created a new SMF meber group called "Authors" and then in Admin-->TinyPortal-->Manage Articles-->Submissions check on the group created above.
Then created a URL menu link of:
http://site.com/index.php?action=tpadmin;sa=addarticle

seems like user can not Submit an Article unless they are allowed to Manage Articles.....this give users too much access and ability to edit all cats etc.
Have I missed something?

No, you havent missed anything, the settings at this time in the development of tp is made that way, there will however be changes to that in the next release of tp.

I thought I was going crazy.This 'all or nothing' ACL is a bit scarry but it certainaly doesn't overpower the excitement of having discovered TP. 
Looking forward to new realse so I can open group access....what can I say, I don't trust users  and I like my Cats NOT to get deleted LOL.
