Switch to a other server

Hi,
i installed smf and tinyportal and i want to switch to a other server.
i exported all sql tabels with inserts and so to a .sql-file
than i downloaded via ftp all files on the current ftp and uploaded it to the new server.
i edited the settings.php but there were still errors. such like in Sources/Subs-Auth.php and so one but one the line given in the error message is nothing then the agreements.txt... so i deleted all from my new server.
than i installed the smf and tinyportal totally new and there are problems by browsing: if i click on a link there is just a white site, if i reload, the site will shown or not (i've just thought "lol").

So my questions are:

- Is there a problem with PHP5? Need SMF & TinyPortal php4?
- How to install smf & tinyportal so that contents are shown from the old page, if i select the old database (sql)

TP will work just fine on php5, but in order for SMF and TP to work correctly, you will need to update both SMF and TP database.
How to update SMF is pretty simple, download the upgrade package they have, and take out the upgrade.php and the 2 .SQL files from the zipfolder. Upload them to where you have the forum installed and point your browser to the upgrade.php.
TP is simply download the manual_tp_install.php database only file and upload and point your browser to it. But offcourse first you update the SMF database
