I know that most of you don't know me that well, and maybe that is good, and I just hope that everyone is doing well in here. It seems that there are a lot of changes in the way people are viewing each other in the world these days, and at least in here we can all get along rather well, and pull together when someone is in need of help, and that right there is what sets this site apart from any other that I have seen out there in the world.

I remember when I first got my start in a forum, and it all started with what I was told was the best forum program out on the market, and that was PHP.NUKE however after months of freaking out and things not working properly I accidentally found SMF and started reading into it, and what I found was it was stable and had a lot more options, not as many as nuke did at the time, but who needs all that crap anyway? It has been a couple of years now and I have moved on to bigger and better things, I have realized that if you are going to get ahead in the world you have to really take care of yourself, and manage your own stuff, listen to others, and always try to help someone if you can.

I remember back when G6 ran into some very hard issues, and what captured my heart is how everyone pulled together and helped someone out, that really needed the help, and it wasn't a gimmick, it wasn't anything but people helping people, and right there is what TP is all about, it isn't about making money, it isn't about who is better then the other, it is about a group of people with many ideas, and freedom to express themselves openly and without cause. When I saw how many people helped G6 in her time of need it made me think that if we can do this in this site, why can't the rest of the world do that same? I do think we all know the answer to that question.

The future is going to be good, and I see great things coming our way in here, and it is the future that can provide us with new tools, new ideas, and newer people, but we can't forget what TP was built on, and the was helping others, sharing ideas, and making sure that everyone can experience the same gratitude as we all showed G6. I know that there might have been other people who struggled, who needed help, and maybe at some point we lost track of our objective, but in the long run we were all able to come forward, and forget about past events and make this site stand up and plant its self deep within your hearts.

Tp has stepped into the new world, and now it is time for all of us to reflect back in the early days, and remember what we are truly here for. To help when help is needed.

Some nice points and this is the reason I enjoy the TP community, ok.. we have our ups and downs and moments of madness like most communities. But on the whole, it's a great place to be online and spend time at. We all learn from each other too. Theres a few forums I spend time at, and there are some that I wouldn't waste my time with.

You touched on a few other points..

I can't agree with you more.
While we all try to pull together to help each other.. It's only you that knows what you want and more often than not it's how much effort you are willing to put in to get out the results you want. This is the same in all life.

It was one of the first things I noticed when I first joined this site, and I felt the need to help where I could because I was in a position to help.

I'm certain that it's not all of the population of the world.. and yes, I think most of us know the reasons why, but most of us are not in a position to do anything about it. You would think by now after all the wars and rapid technological growth.. that the world would have started to settle down a bit. Truth is, there are people who simply do not want peace.
