You cannot download or install new packages because the Packages directory or one of the files in it are not writable!

can someone let me know asap please

::)

G6Cad

the packages folder and the temp folder inside the packages folder. Through FTP find the folder/s and change the permission to 777

Sheff

Where abouts is the temps folder, iv done my packages folder, just cant find the Temps folder you mentioned, i checked everywhere, and downloaded the pack again to make sure i didnt get rid of it.
Help anyone?

G6Cad

if there are no temp folder in the packages folder, you simply create one and set the permissiosn to 777

Make sure you use lower cases for the name "temp" on the folder

Sheff, please use the search for problems before you post. This has been asked a thousand times. The answer is located in a sticky topic in the top of this very board.

I know i read that, uts already english, but its not the writing not showing up its the TinyPortal C-panel not showing up itself, i know at top it said summet about restarting and i cliked link but  did it restart it or do i have to do that.

G6Cad

You probably have more permission issues with your files then just the packages.

Download the manuall install package we have in the download section.
Extract the files from the package, upload them to your forum and if the ftp prompt you to overwrite, just overwrite all files, and then refresh your forum again.
Most likly the TP files didnt get added through the install, so you have to add them manually.
