The frontpage of my TP forum is to wide and it makes IE users scroll. How could I change that?

Ken.

What site?
If you are speaking of the one under your avatar then you may wish to check the width of the left and right side blocks.
Have you contacted the themes author to see if it's a theme issue?

Ken.

The first thing that I would suspect is the  banner ad in the middle of the page. (AccuWeather.com) Another one is the 'film' animation.
Try turning them and other custom elements off to see what that will do for the page wight.

Did nothing. I turned the whole center panel off and it still had that scrolling thing.

Ken.

That actually made it worse for me in FF!  ;)
I didn't get to it quickly enough with IE7 before you turned them back on.

The next question would be just what changes were made to the theme when it was customized and for that we need a Team member better versed in theme questions than me... so give this some time as we wait for more help.

In FF it looks fine to me, in IE6 i see a small scroll bar at bottom --
Your left blocks/panels look to wide]]] [[[ try: 170px or smaller -- it may help the scrollbar, but i see nothing to really  be concerned about..IMO!
I have become comfortably numb!
