Problems installing mods after TP install

I am looking into adding TP to our main SMF Forum (ver 1.1.3)
From a fresh install, the TP install is fine and even after the install of Crips "Dark Rain" theme (converted), everything seems fine.
The problem starts when I try and add the mods (same ones from our main site) eg; shoutbox 1.16, smf arcade, 2.0.8, etc.

When I use the package mgr and go through the motions, all appears fine including the "install actions" box but, when I click "install", I end up at a blank white page with this error:

Fatal error: packageinstall() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home2/teal/public_html/bloc/Packages/temp/./sbox_setup.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home2/teal/public_html/bloc/Sources/Packages.php on line 552

Any insight as to how I might proceed would be apprechiated. I did a serach on here for that error but found nothing.

S_Teal as a last resort you may need to do a manual install for your mods, but here are some things to check first if you have not done so already.

Forum error log, any entries from your SMF & TinyPortal installs?

Are you trying to install your mods with the forum set to the SMF Core Default theme? You must always do that because trying to install something while in a custom theme will often cause errors.
Personally I would not install any themes until SMF/TP and all of my mods were working correctly

File permissions; on some servers you may have issues with those, they should set to 777 or 755 depending on the server. In your error message it is saying "Failed opening required" so that may be permissions.

I have tried the install in Default core theme without luck.  I don't believe I am having a chmod issue although I could be wrong. I will install another test forum and add the mods and such before I upload the converted theme and see if anything changes.

Update: I installed a second test install and did the following:
updated from 1.1.2 to 1.1.3 > Installed TP > installed > shoutbox 1.16 > users online 1.40 > Crips "black rain theme" (converted).

This appears to be a huge step in the right direction. I am encountering one problem though, as when I try to install the arcade mod 2.0.8, I recieve this message:

"The package you are trying to download or install is either corrupt or not compatible with this version of SMF."

No suggestions here for a mod that we don't support mate. Try the arcade site if you're having problems.

Glad you got the install issues for TinyPortal resolved S_Teal. 

As for the Arcade mod, thats a whole new question and you will likely get better service on that question from the mods author, try this link:
http://www.smfarcade.info/

One thing that it may be is the is the package-info.xml file, check to be sure it supports 1.1.3.

Well, I had to ask here as I have no issues installing that mod (arcade) if TP is not installed. I will check out smf arcade for further assistance.

Mods often conflict with each other when they want to modify the same code. So you usually end up manually installing one mod or the other.
