How do I manually upload?

HI all,
I uploaded the latest version of SMF and ever since all my TP functions have gone.
I contacted SMF and they said you guys would be able to tell me how to manually edit the index file.
I can see all the TP info in my CPanel so I know its still there but its not showing. When I try to add a topic I get an error.. when I try to edit news I get an error.
Does anyone know exactly how to manually add whatever is needed.

Oh, I tried to re-install TP and got another error.

We have the modifications instructions posted in our Docs board. If you read through it you will see the instructions for the index.php file. However, if you don't think you can do this you can just re-upload a fresh set of SMF files and then install TP in the package manager again. You will have to reinstall all mods if you do this though.

I can't post for some reason. Its saying..
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_BOOLEAN_AND in /home/secti4/public_html/forum2/Sources/Subs-Post.php on line 791

Do you know what that is and what I need to do to fix it?

Well theres an error in your Subs-Posts.php file most likely. Yeah, I like pointing out the obvious. I don't think TP modifies this file, have you installed any other mods? If not, just upload that file from the SMF package. If you are worried that another mod is affected by it, then you should ask at SMF to see if someone can help.

Thanks I tried uploading that file again and it worked..
Everthing is up and running but my news area.. it won't let me edit or delete the news.

Just in case you missed what site you are on, this is tinyportal. and we support the mod called tinyportal, not SMF.
You have to ask the SMF related issues you have questions about on simplemachines.org

No bother Brandy as we are just trying to get people to post SMF questions at the SMF site. We have plenty to do here already.
