At the advice of some people over at SimpleMachines.org, I've freshly installed my SMF forums, and have upgraded to v1.1.3.

I'd like more information on the TP Install for this version of SMF.  The last time I did it, I did it for SMF v1.1.2 and it worked fine.  Do I need to worry about anything if I start w/ a brand new download of the manual install of TP?  By the way, why are there two TP installs, one that says TP 0.9.8 and one that says TP 0.9.8 Manual Install?  Last time I installed TP, I used these instructions for the manual install.  Is the other file meant for an automated install through the smf package loader/installer?

G6Cad

The Tp V098 package in the download is the package you install through the package manager with.
Then you have the manuall packages you use when you install manually, and also for the manuall package, you need to make the code edits by hand with help of the instructions in the documentation.

JOSHSKORN

OK but that doesn't answer all of my question.

Just want to make sure, the installer has been updated for SMF 1.1.3 correct?

G6Cad

Offcourse.
And to get the rest of the answers you have the search function as we have answerd all of this many times before just the last 2 weeks ;)

Oh you know how it is, people just like to be reassured again and again.  TY :)

Looks like the install didn't work.  Caused errors on index.template.php only.  Should I just do it and then post the file?

G6Cad

No, If you have had a fresh install of SMF you should not have the error with the index.template.php file.
You have install some other mod before TP havent you ;)

Go ahead with the install, and then read in the documentation how and what you have to manually add to your index.template.php
