News in forum question.

Hi y`all,
Iv`e searched around, but couldn`t find anything, so................. Is there an option anywhere to not have the news box appear in the forum?

If you look in the "current theme" settins in your admin section there should be a box that you can uncheck for "enable news".

That wasn`t really what i was looking for. I like the News on the main "Front Page", but wondered if there was a way to lose it when you went into the forum (same way as  having the left/right block show option).

centerbar and news bar are completely different entities. But, glad you found it.

Lol, not too sure if i like that though. What i really want, is to keep the center bar, but lose the news, but only in the forum.

Maybe i should put this on the request board

Blocks ( like the news) being hidden/shown depending on what part of the site you are in, are not implemented yet.
