Oh, and using Firefox the Forum will look much worse.

Well looks like you messed up the index.template.php file while removing the advert codes.

If you dont have any other modifications installed which directly change codes in the index.template.php I would advise making a backup of the theme index.template file and then replacing it with a fresh one.

I forgot to say that I already replaced the whole Theme with a clean one, the adverts are made within Block boxes so it cannot be altered directly.

Which theme is that?

If its one of the converted themes, you can try asking in that themes thread, because it COULD be that the person who converted it didnt convert it properly
