I'm wanting to build a basic links page and created a category for this.

I am wanting to list my links so that only the site name is listed (not the URL).

I'm new to html but have tried using link text and even the <html> and </html> tags at each end of the document.  I still can't get the link to display right.

I've also tried WYSIWYG and the other two settings as well and that hasn't helped.

Any ideas much appreciated.

Thanks
Steve

<a href="http://websiteurl.com/">test link</a>

or this if you want it to open in a new window

<a target="_blank" href="http://websiteurl.com/">test link</a>

You need to turn off the editor in order to do this. There's some button in each editor that allows you to get to the html source code. Each one's different, but you should be able to find it.

Alternatively, in each editor is an interface for entering links. Look for a button with chain links or a world icon.

I found the globe and chains and that was a very easy way to enter links.

And then I clicked on 'source' to show the source code - then I went through and entered the bits of html that Lesmond suggested - target etc..., tried it out and the links all worked first time - opening in new windows.

Many thanks,
Steve
