Changing theme colors

i did a search for changing colors in themes but it did not answer my question. it could also be something that other know about but i do not. what is the thoughts on people changing the colors on someone else theme? is this something that is ok or a no no.

would like to know cause i have a few themes from this site, on my site that i and others would like to change the colors for them. also were can i get the smilies that are here

I don't see a problem with editing themes as long as you leave the copyright intact. But for good measure, I would probably ask permission before I do anything to someones theme.

The smilies I think you can get them over at the SMF site.

No problem with changing colors . Redistributing a modified theme is another matter though.
