Hi. I am having a problem adding a new menu item. I am able to add the item, but when I try to make and save any changes the above error shows on a new page. If I delete the new menu item I can make changes and save without any problem.

I also have the following error recorded on my error log, although I don't know that it's related.

QuoteYou have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'LIMIT 1' at line 5
File: /home/tamsite/public_html/forum/smf_1-1-3_install/Sources/Post.php
Line: 575

Note: It appears that your database may require an upgrade. Your forum's files are currently at version SMF 1.1.3, while your database is at version 1.1.2. The above error might possibly go away if you execute the latest version of upgrade.php.

I checked the MySql version and it is 4.1.1 I believe.

Any ideas?

You have the answer in the error message.

You need to upgrade your SMF database and also the same for tinyportal.
For SMF upgrade browse to their site and read the instructions.
For TP download the manual install db only file and upload it to your forum root and point the browser to the file.
But you will need to upgrade SMF first.

Well, I'm going to give that a try then. Thanks for your response.

I don't really understand the workings of the database with SMF and Tp, but wonder why the versions are not correct. This is a very new install of SMF and TP so I would think everything would have been downloaded as the correct version to begin with, unless it is an issue with how they interact with my hosts software. Can you clarfiy that a bit for me?

G6Cad

That is something you have to ask on SMF.

i asked about this in smf and they told me to ask in tp

IchBin

You asked about what? This isn't your topic, so I don't know what you asked. A link to your SMF topic?

I am not sure..adding a menuitem should be uncomplicated - however, with extra mods it might clash somewhere. Ad manager and/or arcade mods for example.

If you can try it without these mods un-installed it might shed some light on it.
