Install on an older site?

I have a site that's been up for 4 months now. we have 16166 posts. Can I install TP on it?

As long as it is an SMF site I don't see why not, what version of SMF are you using?

That is not an older site, that is the current version of SMF, to install TP 9.7 you have to use a modified version of the xml, or you can wait for TP 9.8.

I'm sorry, what I meant was my site was 4 months old with a lot of posts. Can you point me to where I can read about the modified xml?
