Articles category image not showing

I create some articles categories and i write the path to the images i want for every category.
I can see them from the edit categories menu, but i cant see them in the frontpage together with the article.
What i am doing wrong ?

They only show up in the menu, not in the articles themselves. This might change though.

What is the use if they show up only in the menu ?
I think is the "default" procedure for all CMS to post articles with the category image beside them.
I am looking forward to see this option in the next version

It was merely a option give the menu items some small icons..a pure link in menu manager can also have a icon...

But categories with images have been on my to-do list for some time now.
