Is there a way to create an ephemerids block?

Ah yes....an ephemerids block.ÂÃ,  A block that does the "this day in history" type stuff.  Usually included in PHP Nuke or PostNuke.

What are Ephemerids? They are past events that you think are significant. The configuration is very easy. Ephemerids are part of the block system, so you can choose where you want it displayed. In order to use this feature, you need to activate this feature in phpNuke Preferences and activate the block in the "blocks" setup.

wouldn't you need to write an event for every day? i'm not sure how to do this but it sounds very difficult!

I have it done..but in Postnuke.  I need one for SMF.

If you have the data for all days..yes, then I can look at it. They are in a separate database table I reckon?
