I havent been able to get information on this.  I tried to install .97 and it said the file was "corrupt" so I am thinking about doing a manual install.

I then decide to do a manual install, but uhh where do the TP files go?  I thought there'd be a doc on this in the zip but nope.

So basically I do this right?

1. Upload the TP Files to the root of the forum directory?
2. Modify all the php files as described in the html file
3. Done

Also, just wondering, why doesnt the isntall pack work?  I'm not using any mods, would it be my theme?

Read the modification text, there you have all the code, and what file to add them into.
Or you can simply download the premade files from the installation forums sticky post and extract the zip file and then upload the files to your forum and overwrite the old ones.

And yes on the others, you download the manuall install package, upload the files manually and overwrite the old ones.
Then point your browser to the manual_tp_install.php for the update of the database.

Thank you!
But, just a few more questions....

The modification text (I've got some experience modding phpbb forums so this shouldnt be too bad for me to do) - If I did this would I have to upload any files at all? which ones then?

Oh, and if I'm not using modification text but still using a manual install, do I just download the sticky post php files into my forum directory and then run the php_sql_update file and I'm done?

you download the zip file from the sticky post in the installation board, then extract it on your local machine. When you have extracted, you have the structure there for where the files should go. If you just add the files as they are in your FTP with your forum root visible, it sends the files to the correct places
