I'd love to do this and couldn't get it to work.  I tried in the index.template.php right before </head> and put the favicon in the root and in the root of /forum and neither work.

I used this code - <link rel="shortcut icon" href="favicon.ico" >

and also the code with the URL directly to the ico and still no go.  Any suggestions?

RoarinRow - upload your favicon to our Themes directory, then in your theme index.template.php find this line

<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"', $context['right_to_left'] ? ' dir="rtl"' : '', '><head>

after add this code

<link rel="shortcut icon" href="http://www.yoursite.com/forum/Themes/default/imagename.ico" />

I tried that and still no go.  I used this code:

<link rel="shortcut icon" href="http://www.avalanchestyle.com/forum/Themes/default/favicon.ico" />

Edit - I take that back.  I does work, but only with FF and Opera right now.  Not sure why IE7 is not taking right now?

Edit Edit - works on IE now   :2funny:

Glad I could help!
