Clarification needed

I have a bit of difficulty making the difference between "Front Page", and "blocks" (1). When do we use it?

(2) I also need some help to understand what are "Portal Features", "Visual options A" and"Visual options B" and when to use it.

We don't do support on MSN or skype etc. We keep as many questions and answers on this forum so that people like you can find the things your looking for. I would highly suggest you setup a test setup and play with all the options you see in the TP admin settings so that you can see what they do.

Front page means exactly what it says, for FRONTpage ONLY. All the other blocks appear on the right and left or center depending on where you tell them to show. They can show in many places, but the frontpage blocks can only show on the Frontpage.The A,B,C are layouts of how you want the articles to appear on the Front page.

I understand about using the forum as being the best way to share knowledge. No problem.

I did test TP on a test site. But I still have questions. I understand the FrontPage concept but I was not clear about a few things like the difference between an article and a single page? When do we use one instead of the other?

I played with the blocks and I understand how they work but I think I would like to have some examples on when it is better to use an article vs frontpage blocks?
