Problems after installing package

My site uses SMF 1.1 RC2 and TP 0.9.5

Today I attempted to install the "pm on new registration" mod via the package area of the admin. For whatever reason after clicking upload my browser window went blank (white) and did nothing. The status bar said done. I hit the back button and tried to re-upload but I received a message saying the package was already uploaded.
I then clicked on packages to view the packages and to install the new mod, however  everytime I now click on Packages in the admin area the browser goes blank white and this magical "done" message sits on the status bar. The url it is failing to load is http://www.mydomain.com/index.php?action=packages but it never does.

Is there something I can delete manually or reload manually so that I can at least access my packages area once more as I cannot see a way past this?

The site itself is running fine as far as I can tell and the mod I attempted to upload was not a huge significance, but re-gaining access to the packages is obviously very important.

Any help is much appreciated.

You have to ask over at the site from where you got the mod from.
This site is about TinyPortal, and not the "pm on new registration".

I think you get the best help from the mod author and SMF forum on your issue

Try deleting the last package (zip file) you uploaded via FTP in the Packages directory
