Install Error test failed

Im trying to install TP to my Ubuntu dapper server running SMF 1.1 RC3 & I get a test failed error on Execute Modification     ./Themes/default/index.template.php     Test failed



Any help would be appreciated

How many mods do you have installed?

Search "test failed ./Themes/default/index.template.php"

Sorry I'm a bit thick I grep'ed the directory & found no reference to the error, I have a dump of what mod's I have installed.

As posted elsewhere, many mods do not work with TP. A strategy that works well is to remove all your mods and get TP working properly then add your mods one at a time. Some will work but others won't. Take it one mod at a time.

Also u may wana try a manual edit of the file for which verification failed by following this guide

if u attempt the manual method then:
1- download and backup a copy of the default theme index.template.php
2- make all the modifications as showin the the page
3 - install mod despite the index.template.php error
4- upload the modified version to the default theme folder
