With above mentioned versions I use Bloc's Apollo theme for V1.1.RC2.

When creating an article using the theme lay-out, the background of the article is white and no title is visible. Turning the title option off and on will repair the article and it is shown as it should be in the first place.

Errorlog is flooded with messages:
-----------------------
8: Uninitialized string offset: 0
Bestand: /home/httpd/vhosts/petsfriendsforum.nl/httpdocs/Themes/default/TPortal.template.php (eval?)
Line: 300
----------------------

Lines are different in some of the messages.

Last remark:
after installing some of the other themes (Amber/Aero_79) and allow members to use the themeblock in TP, the forum is displayed in the new theme.
Opening one of the boards will result in displaying the board with the Apollo theme again.

I hope you know what I'm talking about, my English is a bit rusty. :)

An  error we are aware of, and can only say that you have to wait until the themes are updated for the newer versions of both SMF and TP.
It will take some time for Bloc to update all his themes for all versions, so we cant give any ETA on the time taken before they are updated.

Henk

Mrs G6, thnx for the quick replay.

Is this about the damaged article, the errorflood or the change of theme when using a differnt one or all of the above...?

I have all the confidence in Bloc, although it will take some time. :)

greez,

Henk

We cant really put a finger on the exact problem yet, although Bloc is on it :)

We do know that the default SMF 1.1rc3 have very little errors and so the same with TP V.095 installed to the default core theme.
So 90% of the errors generated are cause of the themes that needs to be updated in order to "understand" the new features in both SMF and TP.

If you want to, you can do the upgrades your self, On SMF there is a thread about what code you need to add or replace for the new version in your custome themes.

Names all Gone

That's the same Uninitialized string I've been getting - I just got off the phone with support & I posted what they said in this thread.

Seems to be a php version problem

bloc

- themes chosen in theme block DO  NOT stay..they only last for the session. Use the profile to save theme choice.

- an article has a number of "visual options", turn for example title off and it will not show. Its not abug and different themes will show different things because its using the theme css to render background, border and titles of articles.

- the error you are getting (Uninitialized string offset) can be a utf-8 issue in SMF 1.1RC3, TP 0.9.6(not out yet) will try to correct this.

- Use the TP 0.9.5 / SMF 1.1 RC3 version of Apollo, if you haven't already.

Henk

Thnx Bloc, I already use the right version of Apollo.

At the moment I am waiting until the dutch language is available for some of the new RC3 / 0.9.5 themes such as Amber. Still you succeed to impress me day bu day with all the nifty features built in SMF and TP, keep up the good work.

At the moment I'm unemployed, but when that period of my life is over I will definitly send a donation for all the good work you're guys are doing.
