Hello there!

I have a fresh install of SMF RC2 and try to install TP 0.95 with the package manager, but no success so far with it.
I have installed SMF in folder /smf and when i gonna install TP and i need to give FTP information for cmod some files i put username and password and path to smf i put like this /smf/ ,no success, then i try with /smf, and same problem. Then it says that some folders havent the right cmod and cant continue. Also the tp folders are outside and not in /smf/. Any special reason? When i installed SMF 1.0.8 and TP 0.95 everything went out fine, but since there isnt any theme yet for that one i would try RC2 :) :o

Thats because Tp V.095 and SMF 1.1rc2 were not built to work to gether.
If you want to use TP V.095, you have to upgrade your SMF to 1.1rc3

Is there somewhere i can download 0.86 of Tinyportal?? Or another version of Tinyportal that works with RC2??

G6Cad

I think you can download TP V.086 from the download section archived releases
But there are security issues on both 1.1rc2 and TP V.086 that was left alone cause of the new releases that came out, so i must suggest you upgrade your forum eather way

TP 0.95 should work with RC2. As for your chmod issue, you just need to make sure you put in the right path. When you are logged into your ftp check out the path. It could be something like /home/username/www/smf/ or something similar.

If you can't get it to work go into your FTP and manually chmod all the files to 777 until you are done. Then you can change them back to something like 755 if you are paranoid like me. :)

Ok,now i tried RC3 and TP0.95 together, try to install TP by package manager and everything goesw fine until i press Install Now, then this message here comes up.: Fatal error: packageinstall(): Failed opening required '/mounted-storage/home17b/sub001/sc18906-HMPH/smf/Packages/temp/./tp_install.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php') in /mounted-storage/home17b/sub001/sc18906-HMPH/smf/Sources/Packages.php on line 540

Any suggestions on this one?

Then i tried to cmod files to 777 but still same problem......

Try this Kem. When you press "apply now" and it goes to the test install screen. DO NOT PROCEED YET. First, look in the temp folder inside your packages folder in your FTP. Change all the files in their to 777. Once you've done that go back to your screen and click proceed.
